- Accumulator
- A single bet that combines multiple selections; all must win for the bet to pay out.
- Arbitrage
- Exploiting differences in odds across bookmakers to guarantee a profit regardless of the result.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap applied to a team to create balanced odds for betting.
- Bankroll Management
- The practice of setting a budget for betting and deciding how much to stake on each wager.
- Bet Builder
- A feature allowing you to combine multiple markets from a single match into one wager.
- Betting Exchange
- A platform where bettors can back and lay outcomes against each other, acting as a marketplace.
- Bonus Wagering Requirement
- The number of times you must bet a bonus amount before you can withdraw any winnings from it.
- Bookmaker
- A company or individual that sets odds and accepts bets on sporting events.
- Cash Out
- An option to settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or cutting a loss.
- Cover
- When a team wins by more points than the spread, resulting in a winning bet on that side.
- Hedge
- Placing a second bet on the opposite outcome to reduce risk or lock in a profit.
- In-Play Betting
- Placing bets on a match while it is already in progress, with odds updating live.
- Juice
- The commission that a bookmaker takes on a bet, usually built into the odds.
- Kelly Criterion
- A formula used to determine the optimal size of a bet based on the perceived edge and odds.
- Lay Bet
- A bet that a particular outcome will NOT happen, essentially acting as the bookmaker.
- Line Movement

- Moneyline
- A straight bet on which team will win a match, without any point spread.

- Over/Under

- Parlay
- A bet that links two or more outcomes; you win only if every selection wins.
- Spread

- Stake

- Value Bet
